ABOUT:

Doctors on Demand is a mobile app designed to revolutionize the way patients access medical care. Through the app, patients can conveniently receive at-home care from licensed doctors, eliminating the need for traditional clinic visits. Additionally, Doctors on Demand offers the flexibility to book telehealth appointments, allowing users to consult with healthcare professionals remotely. The goal of this app is to enhance the healthcare experience by providing convenient, efficient, and personalized healthcare at the touch of a button.

RESEARCH:

To identify the key needs and prioritize features for Doctors on Demand, I conducted in-depth interviews with 10 individuals over age 60.

Here are 3 key insights gathered from these interviews:

  • Convenience: Emphasized the convenience of accessing healthcare services at home and avoiding the travel to a clinic/hospital.

  • Cost-Effectiveness: Appreciated the potential cost savings associated with at-home healthcare services, including reduced transportation costs and the ability to avoid hospital stays for non-emergency care.

  • Empowerment: Identified community support as a strong form of empowerment that allows them to learn about others’ journeys and experiences

SKETCHES: Leveraging my research findings to better understand the current user journey, I developed sketches that played a crucial role in visualizing the user interface for Doctors on Demand.

LO-FI WIREFRAMES: Drawing inspiration from my sketches, I produced low-fidelity grayscale wireframes to assess the viability of my concepts. This approach enabled me to visually explore layout options and gauge the intuitive nature of the screens.

FUTURE DEVELOPMENT:

  • Conduct user testing with target user group and healthcare workers

  • Incorporate feedback from user testing to create another round of hi-fi prototypes

  • Build the app in React Native

  • Establish partnerships with healthcare providers to ensure seamless integration of Doctors on Demand with existing healthcare systems and workflows
